Cast Your Shadow
Writer: Edward O’Neill
Cast Your Shadow is a graphic novel inspired by the thrilling, rags-to-riches story of the notorious Madchester band Oasis. Through stark black-and-white artwork (with a little bit of red for dramatic flair), the book explores themes of brotherhood, fame, friendship, forgiveness, and how growing up in a certain environment shapes who you are.
The book combines narrative with expressive storytelling and a raw, hand-drawn aesthetic, drawing on the expressionism of the early to late 1990s during the height of the Britpop movement. Essentially, this work is a love letter to Oasis.
