John M Burns died on Friday, 29 December, aged 86.
Many of you will know his work from The Order and Nikolai Dante in 2000AD but he also drew Kelpie the Boy Wizard, Modesty Blaise, The Tomorrow People (and many Look-In strips) Dan Dare, Judge Dredd, Jane and James Bond over his outstanding 70 year career. There are many more strips to list here but he will be remembered as one of the most brilliant and creative artists of our generation.
