The next issue of the Judge Dredd Megazine is to honour the late Carlos Ezquerra with an extended obituary and an additional magazine with seven stories illustrated by the artist.
Carlos Ezquerra died in October after a battle with lung cancer at the age of 71. He co-created Strontium Dog and Judge Dredd. The first Judge Dredd story he drew, which appeared for the first time several years later, will be reprinted in the special. The Megazine is our 21st November from publishers Rebellion.
You can read more about Carlos Ezquerra career here with more personal memories of the man in Issue 4 of ComicScene UK. Issue 3, our War Issue, features several stories illustrated by Carlos as well as one of his last interviews and rarely seen sketches of the Rat Pack and El Mestizo that he shared with us. Order your copy here.
At ComicsFlix Towers we are still saddened by this news but look forward to seeing his work again in the Judge Dredd Megazine Special.
