Get the 2000AD AKA Tapes as featured in Comic Book Punks

Currently reading the brilliant Comic Book Punks by Karl Stock, who has written for ComicScene Magazine. As I have a memory like a sieve I had completely forgotten I had sent a copy of the AKA 2000AD Tapes to him as part of the research for this book so it was sweet and a bit of a thrill to see thanks in the acknowledgements. I think this piece of 2000AD fandom is one of the most important fanzines for any thrill power fan to own. It captures 2000AD at the top of its game and features honest interviews from Richard Burton, Robin Smith, Kev O’Neill, Mick McMahon, Brian Bolland and Dave Gibbons. You can read about the adult 2000AD, Dredd movie, creation of Slaine, Helltrekkers and it captures, warts and all, 2000AD at that time and as the likes of Bolland and Gibbons talk about their move to American comics.
