Alan Henderson has announced it has been ten years since the Penned Guins made their debut.

“Time is a four letter word.

Just like penguins time marches on and March 2023 marks the tenth anniversary of the Penned Guin first online appearance.

Lots of things have changed in the last decade – for the world at large and in our land of funny little stories about funny little penguins. But we keep facing each day three panels at a time.

I didn’t start out with any ethos – other than to amuse myself – but eventually I realised that the goal of the Penned Guin is to put a smile on at least one person’s face every day.

Over the last ten years I think we’ve generally achieved that aim – there are approximately 2500 different PG strips/drawings in our archives and if you’ve not smiled at least once then I’m putting that on you.

There have been lots of surprises as we’ve journeyed from 2013 – the wonderful guest artists; the podcast appearances; the conventions; the art show; and many more.

Most important in all this has been the readers whether online via one of the social media platforms; a bought book in person; or a crowdfunding backer – so thank you for your support.
