Hatchette Publishing have followed up Slaine the Horned God with a full reprinting of the Ballad of Halo Jones. The latest part of 2000AD the Ultimate Collection is in stores now.
The story is written by Alan Moore and Ian Gibson. Halo Jones first appeared in 1984 and was an instant hit for 2000AD.
The Ballad was due to continue for a full nine verses but only reached Book 4 as Alan Moore fell out with Fleetway over ownership of the character. He went on to produce Watchman with Dave Gibbons.
Halo Jones is a fabulous series and at £6.99 for this collection it is well worth your hard earned pennies.
