Are you a ComicScene faithful?
With tariffs, postage, distribution charges and print costs making it more difficult to produce a regular magazine dedicated to comic books we are now adding more ComicScene Magazine content online as part of the new ComicScene Culture Review.
But that’s not all! Subscribing to the substack is also the only way to get the ComicScene Yearbook 2027 in digital or print – it will only be available to substack subscribers. No Crowdfunder. No shop sales. Just faithful supporters of the ComicScene substack!
Taking an annual subscription to this substack helps support the work we do. Plus you get more news, more features and more extras than you would get in a monthly print magazine for a fraction of the cost – plus a copy of the ComicScene Yearbook 2027 in digital or print.
Please back us here – and each week we will show progress. Thanks to you we have currently raised £1500 or approximately $2000!

To subscribe to our substack is free and we have over 6000 subscribers. We need at least 300 paid backers and at best 600 backers to continue beyond 2026 and into our tenth year in 2027.
If we reach the £12000 target a ComicScene Summer Special will be produced for June this year – and every year for backers!
Most of our content on the substack is FREE to read for one week and then goes behind a paywall. To get access to all content upgrade for the ‘early bird’ price of £20 a year (£1.66 a month) plus you get ComicScene Yearbook in digital and for £40 a year (£3.33 a month) you get your copy of the ComicScene Yearbook in print. As part of this ‘crowdfunder’ if you subscribe before 10th February you will get the ComicScene Yearbook 2026, the Best of ComicScene, Tara Togs Silence of the Unicorns graphic novel and next years ComicScene Annual 2027 in digital (for £20) or in print (for £40). When you subscribe you get all online content direct to your email, so never miss a story or feature due to pesky social media algorithms!
