Where would your favourite 2000AD characters go on vacation? That’s the premise of this years 2000AD Summer (or Sci Fi Special). Dredd (a sequel of sorts) the Out and Strontium Dog are just three of the five strips featured this year and, if like me, you ordered your copy way before the sun began to shine it should be being delivered to your door right now.
It’s a fun read and I have to say it does start to feel like summer when it arrives, particularly with the very apt Chris Weston cover. Sure it’s not the 64 page Specials of yesteryear but it’s all new and original material with no fillers so Tharg can be forgiven for less pages of, quite frankly, sub standard thrill sucker material.
So do yourself a favour and use your galactic groats to get some Zarjaz comics down you. The Special should be in shops from Wednesday.
