Just in time for Hibernia’s twentieth birthday, it’s hard to believe Doomlord was released this month twenty years ago!

The Editor’s Cut is the seventh in the Comic Archive series, for those of you who are not familiar with Comic Archive- it’s a series of book exploring British comics through interviews, articles and what we pride ourselves on- lots of rare and unpublished artwork. This edition is no different!

Behind the amazing Mick McMahon cover, (which had lain unpublished for nearly 40 years!) they have interviews with Mick, Kelvin Gosnell, Roy Preston, and Brian Walker.

Also included is an article by Matt Bookman on Garry Leach, looking at his BBC work, writer Chris Lowder reminiscing on his meetings with and the work of Solano Lopez, (timely given the release of Eternaut on Netflix) and a piece on Kevin O’Neill including some unpublished memories of working in Fleetway in the seventies.

So, do you want to see Kevin O’Neills cover to a proposed 2000 AD spin off called ‘Hyper Power’?

Mick McMahons first published work in ‘It’s All Lies’?

The article from the Evening Standard that prompted the creation of 2000 AD?

Solano Lopez unpublished try out for Star Wars?

Rian Hugh and John Wagner’s Professor Questertester?

A photo of all the editors from the launch of Starlord?

There’s all this and much much more, like rare and unpublished art from Massimo Belardinelli, Brendan McCarthy, Garry Leach, Jamie Hewlett, Brett Ewins, Brian Walker and many more!

They are also offering ‘Value Pack’ bundles of some of their titles, when bought with The Editors Cut, be sure to check them out.

Postage is extra and unfortunately marches ever upwards, and it will be added at checkout, but The Editors Cut still offers fantastic value- for a limited edition, full colour, 88 page perfect bound book.

This is not a Kickstarter, so no more will be made available once the print run is sold. Order here- comicsy.co.uk

Please share far and wide, all of Hibernia’s titles rely on word of mouth, so all shares, comments and likes are greatly appreciated.

These are being shipped internationally from Ireland, please allow at least two weeks for delivery in Ireland, 3 weeks for delivery to Great Britain and mainland Europe, and 6 weeks outside Europe. It’s usually quicker, but due to the vagaries of the postal systems it can take a while.
