2025 sees the 200th year of the Glasgow Looking Glass, recognised as the original ‘comic’ which was all hand drawn, with speech balloons and featuring ‘to be continued’ for the very first time. It can put in June 1825.
ComicScene will be celebrating all things Scottish throughout 2025 and we welcome contributions from Scottish creators your comics and features about your comics that we can share in this celebratory year.
There will be a few surprises along the way. Scottish creator Colin Maxwell will be producing a 2025 version of the Looking Glass and an exhibition is planned.
