THE PANHARMONION CHRONICLES INSPIRED STEAMPUNK BAR DESIGN

The world of the epic graphic novel series created and written by Henry Chebaane is now being visited by hundreds of people each day, working, living or simply passing through King’s Cross station.

The author has designed an underground steampunk cocktail bar located beneath Euston Road and accessible via the lobby of The Megaro boutique hotel. Readers of his original graphic novel will delight in recognising elements of the secret lab, started by the Royal Engineers, featured in vol.1 Times of London.

The bar called Hokus Pokus serves botanical libations inspired by an infamous Victorian quack doctor. Each evening it opens to a light and sound show, where 19th century London fog seeps in, as if coming from invisible cracks within the fabric of spacetime itself.

The Panharmonion Chronicles is gaining hundreds of readers each month, as the hotel is now offering a copy of the graphic novel for residents to read, in each of its 50 bedrooms and suites. New copies of the book are available to guests for purchase at £19.99, the same price as online and in bookstores.

The Panharmonion Chronicles – vol.1 Times of London is also the inspiration for a music video, also written and directed by the author, which has garnered over 30 awards and nominations on the International short film festivals circuit this year.

The graphic novel first edition is a large format (A4) trade paperback printed in England, in full colours on heavy silk paper. The self-contained story has been illustrated by Stephen Baskerville, who is now working on the next volume “Ghosts of Sound”, due for publication mid 2025.
