This is the launch of Hickmans restablishment of the Gods of the Marvel universe and from reading this first issue it feels like it’s going to be as good as the construction of the Krakoan age. Hickman uses some great characters to set the scene, establish the footing the gods are on, rename some of the alliances and powers. The detente of the GODS is now focussed on ‘The natural order of things’ versus ‘The powers that be’. To go any deeper would spoil your enjoyment. This is a very good start, recommended.
