The Dunfermline Story, coming in May 2024, is an illustrated history of the city. It features the artwork or over forty artists and stories of royalty, weavers, inventors, entrepreneurs, ghosts, soldiers, sportspersons and much more. Funded by the Scottish Book Trust’s Scots Language Publication Grant, the book is presented in Scots (with an online translation).

The book is written by Colin Maxwell, who also wrote the Kirknewton Story which is available here with a cover by the late Ian Kennedy
