ComicScene announce 5 £100 grants for Award Winners in 2024

Thanks to your support of the ComicScene Magazine Kickstarter the team at ComicScene have announced they are to give out 5 £100 grants to winners at the ComicScene Awards 2024. The Awards, nominated by comic creators and comic fans and voted for by comic creators and comic fans are open now for nominations here

The £100 cash awards will go to the top three indie titles, Crowdfunder campaign and best new talent.

Tony Foster from ComicScene said today, “We are very pleased to be able to announce these grants. Thanks to supporters of our last Kickstarter we were not only able to pay writers and comic creators for the work they did for us but provide an additional cash contribution via our ComicScene Awards in 2024. This may be a welcome boost for indie creators and new talent. More importantly our awards are voted for by the fans.”

“This follows a comic exhibition in early 2023, the launch of the Comic Industry Directory which schools, colleges, universities, libraries, community groups, fans and retail outlets can use to arrange workshops, talks, commissions and signings and annual support of comics”

“We have recently expanded our website to be able to share creators old and new digital comics to a wider audience.”
