ComicScene Movies: Worst DC film opening ever?

‘Blue Beetle’ has had the worst opening for a DC movie ever with 25m. ‘Shazam 2’ was 30m. ‘The Flash’ was 55m.

‘Barbie’ overtook ‘Dark Knight’ as WBs best performing movie in the US. It has some nice touches but don’t believe the hype – Barbie isn’t that great a movie.

I have to say my kids were talking ‘Barbie’ and ‘Oppenheimer’ even before their release rather than Indiana Jones and Mission Impossible which suggests some cleaver marketing on Be Real and such like. Or perhaps Margot Robbie is the next big film star and the Peaky Blinders effect!

Surprised at Mission Impossibles performance but the terrible last instalment of Indiana Jones probably didn’t help. A pity as the new movie ‘Dial of Destiny’ is okay.
