Woodland Creatures. Wild Souls tells the story of Callie and Christopher, two werewolves with a twist as instead of turning into wolves they have an animal companion (amaroq, a sort of huge wolf from the Inuit mythology) that they are soul-linked to and can mentally control by transferring their minds inside them. Imagine the daemons from His Dark Materials + the wargs from Game of Thrones.
Callie, a 25 y/o killer and Chris, a PTSD-suffering soldier, must stop the US army from weaponising their race. Volume 3, the last in the series, is currently live on Kickstarter
All 3 volumes are illustrated by DarkHorse’s artist Tomás Aira (Garth Ennis’ War Stories).
