May 1974: Valiant and Lion

In the first of a series revisiting the horrors and excitements of the great British comics tradition of title mergers, David Moloney dons his Adam Eterno cape and pops back in time to 1974. Lion joined Valiant, symbolising the dying of the light of the fantastical adventure comics of the previous two decades.

David Moloney writes the Great News For All Readers! blog about IPC comics of the 70s and 80s. By day, he is a mild-mannered publisher of books. Find him on Twitter at @GNFARcomics.
